Sonam: Hello book lovers! I have a special guest with us and I'm honoured to interview her and she's Jill Shannon the author of killian's Masterpiece. Please introduce yourself Jill.
Jill: Hello everyone, I’m Jill Shannon, author of the Midnight Oasis series and the Celtic Demons series.
I’d like to say thank you to Sonam for the opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. I have been reading romance books since I was thirteen, when I picked up my sister’s copy of Johanna Lindsey’s book ‘A Pirate’s Love’, I was hooked. Yet, I didn’t start writing my own books until five years ago. I sat down and wrote Onyx with my family’s encouragement.
I live in a small house with a large dog and my husband of thirty-nine years. We have two daughters, both married, and five grandchildren. Mostly when I’m not writing, I’m playing with them, they keep me young.
If you’d like to know more about me, please read my interview with Sonam.
Sonam: Why did you select this type of content for your book?
Jill: I choose erotica as my preferred genre, because it gives me the freedom I enjoy to be very descriptive with my intimate scenes.
Sonam: I'm really curious about this, what made you write this book?
Jill: I have always had a fascination with motorcycles clubs. Their way of life, their motorcycles, and of course their tattoos. In doing the research for this book, I learned so much more about their beliefs, their rules, and loyalties.
Sonam:What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
Jill:I’m definitely a sports junkie, NHL hockey is my favorite to watch. I enjoy music and dancing, along with a good movie. I like to garden in the spring and write outside in the summer. I love looking at the stars and drinking my beer from a wineglass. I enjoy the freedom of riding on the back of a motorcycle. Mostly, I enjoy spending time with my family.
Sonam: we all have had our shares of failures, what were the failures you faced on this journey?
Jill: I would have to say my inability to use grammar and punctuation properly, but I’m learning.
Sonam: It's been lovely talking to you. lastly, I want to ask, do you want to say something to your audience?
Jill: I write because I wanted to read something different. I try hard to paint a picture where the reader is transported into my world for a small bit of time. Where they see what I see and feel what I feel as I’m writing. I’m very grateful to the readers that support my dream to write. You give me the opportunity to be creative and colorful in a pretty grey world.
