Aiyana is perfecting her teleporters while running the Heavy Lift Corporation. Kendra is overseeing her ambitious starship project in her own, inimitable way. They want nothing more than to live their lives and raise their girls.
It seems, though, that the universe has other plans for them. First there's a mysterious request to meet with a pair of leaders from the world government; they have a problem and it seems the Cassidy's are the only ones who can solve it. But they've never met a challenge they could walk away from, and this one's no different.
Let's talk about it! This is the second book in the Cassidy Chronicles and is set 5 years after the first book. 'The road to the stars' literally ticks off all the criterias of being a good science-fiction. The part that I especially adore about this book is the way the author normalised the lGBTQ, because the more we talk about it the more it will be normalised. He literally bridged the gap between the reality and the norms set by the society.
Through my understanding the book is quite educating for the most part, the Leads belong to the LGBTQ, had their fair share of hardships and now are successful scientists. what I learned from this book is- you can be anything. It doesn't matter who you are but what you do.
being a science-fiction this book has a lot more to offer than just being a science-fiction. It is supporting, it is empowering and above all its hopeful tho, it is a bit 'on your face' type but that's the beauty of this book.
WHY YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK:
- Instead of reading something you have probably heard about a thousand times reading this is gonna be a total in your experience of people places and inventions.
-There hides of strong message about the way we are living and what all we need to change about it.
- This book will make you wonder what will happen next, there are a lot of what ifs!
- If you are someone who haven't read any science fiction so far, you should try this.
CHARACTER SKETCH :
Aiyana Cassidy
Aiyana Cassidy is the owner and the president of the heavy lift corporation HCL and is known by her friends as cass. Cass had been running HCL for past 7 years. She is very amusing and talent. Cass is occasionally bossy and a very outspoken and that's because she faced many challenges in her life.
Kendra Cassidy
Ken is Cass's wife, she was a lowly researcher at HCL. Through a series of improbable event these two women found themselves and fleeing an assassination attempt, losing, finding and then betrayed by husband, finally ending up as two of the most influential people on the planet.
