MY TAKE:
Unmarry Me is a collection of uncommon poems explaining common hurtful emotions that come with divorce; emotions that one constantly try to forget but find it hard to do so. It’s a faithful read for those late nights when you lie awake in your bed and are all alone. Every poem will make you relive a moment and each exercise in the book will help you let go of it.

To be a good writer, you must feel every emotion you are trying to make your audience feel. Vani Kabir is such an inspirational author and so is her journey because detaching yourself from something you once called love is painful. I just don't know how she did it. She currently lives with her son and also uses his name as her surname. Isn't it adorable?
This was my most anticipated book for the month. Okay, so let's start by praising the cover, it's very homestyle and says it all as in what it's really about. The structure of this book is such that it compels these readers, it consists of heartbreaking poems and how we can undo hurt which is just another beautiful metaphor. In my opinion, what really binds this book together are the deep yet beautiful illustrations.

These poems are like wine you cannot gulp it down in one go, you need to take one step at a time and let the true essence grow to you. Unmarry Me is definitely not the book you read once and let it sit on your shelf eating dust, this book is meant to be read time and again when required so that its impact doesn't fade away.

MY FAVORITES :
Jeremiad
Where are you hiding it?
is it under the pillow?
behind the washroom door
or buried in your heart?
where have you hidden your jeremiad?
Bring it out in the open
that darkness needs the light
don't suffer this painful present
when your future can be bright
This book is all about undoing hurt. No one understands how you feel better than this book, you will finally get the closure you wanted. I am 179 pages down and so far I am absolutely loving this book. If you want to read more such poems then you should definitely buy this book.
