Book: Potpourri: Stories for Children

Author: Urvashi Tandon

Rating:4/5

MY TAKE: The sea fascinates Isabelle, and Robert loves his treehouse. Anna’s adventures are exhilarating, and it is gratifying to see Prakash achieving his goals. Save the planet! What kind of society do we live in today? Kids these days just won’t listen! Potpourri attempts to address these issues by creating awareness in the pre-adolescent age group who are at an age where they begin to understand and distinguish right from wrong. These short stories that integrate both fantasy and reality, manage to instill

values and contribute to a better tomorrow.

Potpourri is a collection of 10 short stories each with distinct learning and teaching. The book speaks itself for every story through its illustrations. The story is written in a manner that is gonna be loved by kids. Each story has a different plot and it teaches a lot of basic manners like honesty, caring, respecting and a lot more. The book is very colorful and has a lot of cute cartoons too, so it keeps the kids engaged. I think books like these are very important for the proper growth of kids mind, it plays a very important role in their upbringing.
