The Quantum Cartographer

Book name: The Quantum Cartographer: Book of Cruxes Author: Kristen Keenon Fisher Rating:3/5

MY TAKE: The year is 2033 somewhere in the middle of the Nevada desert . A young woman named Eliza Carrefour stares at the Proctor, a mysterious man who invited himself into her home accompanied by eight henchmen. Eliza, mother of a two-year-old son and a former scientist at Holifax Industries, always knew this day would come. She’s spent too much time uncovering the dark secrets of the shadowy corporation to remain off the radar. ------ As mentioned above, the book is set in the year 2033. The plot is vivid and well liked, something which is quite common these days. If we talk about the plot as a whole, the author did a phenomenal job. But I feel there were a few things that were not exactly favourable towards the book like the pace of the plot was very slow initially which made it very hard for me to concentrate. It almost seemed like the magic was missing- The sci-fi magic which always leaves you stunned. Coming to the characters, they are well sketched- they are strong, smart and intelligent. Specially the character of Eliza, she's inspiration! Talking about the fun part, humour and action both are used with mindfulness keeping the situation in mind by the author. The action scenes are well set which makes this book intriguing.

Now let's talk about my favourite thing from this book, I really like how the author blended scifi, fantasy and mystical together notwithstanding sticking to just one genre. It's a risky thing to do but I'm glad the author didn't disappointed me there! It's a one time read but that one time is enough for you to never forget this book. ----- Nonetheless, the book is good to go if you want to try some easily penetrable science fiction books and I think it would be loved by teensagers because it has all the characteristics of a good comic book. Also, if you are something whose into Time Travel books or science fiction then definitely Try this one!

ABOUT THE PROTAGONIST: ELIZA CARREFOUR💙 Eliza, mother of a two-year-old son and a former scientist at Holifax Industries, always knew this day would come. She’s spent too much time uncovering the dark secrets of the shadowy corporation to remain off the radar. She knows too much, and that knowledge has earned her the title “Public enemy number one.”  Eliza is a very strong character, She saved her son from a bunch of Kidnappers. It's surprising, the extent to which a mother goes just to protect her child. she's smart and stable minded, even after her son was kidnapped she didn't lost it and took Some very important decisions wisely.

She knows too much, and that knowledge has earned her the title “Public enemy number one.” An old friend warned her of her employer’s nefarious deeds at a time when she was much more naive. She was there when he paid the price for what he knew. His history with those at the top rungs of Holifax’s ladder is one that he swore went back much further than Eliza would believe.
